Riverdance returns to the Apollo, London for a three and a half month run with advance box office sales in excess of UK£5m. The show is extended until the middle of January 1997

Riverdance celebrates its 400th performance; the show has been seen by over 1.3 million people.
Riverdance starts its US tour at Radio City Music Hall, New York, christening this US company the Lee after Cork’s main river, while the company continuing to perform in the UK is now known as the Liffey after Dublin’s main river.
