Brendan Dorris, Riverdance

Irish Dance Troupe

Born in Belfast, Brendan studied dance at the Paul Wilson School of Dancing and the Hyland School of Dancing, Belfast. At the age of nineteen, he performed the lead role in a production of Heartquest, in Melbourne Australia, in 2002. Following this, Brendan returned to competitive dancing and has been placed in the top five in the World Championships and top three in the All Ireland Championships.

While obtaining a Politics/History Degree at Queen’s University Belfast, he spent his summers performing Lead Roles with the O’Shea’s Busch Gardens’ productions of Irish Thunder and Emerald Beat, before joining Riverdance in 2007.

Brendan dedicates every performance to his late mother Catherine, and grandmother Ellie Dorris. RIP.
