Just saw Riverdance. Such an amazing show. Chloey Turner and Craig Ashurst were the lead dancers and the dancing was spectacular. Chloey was Georgeous and moved so gracefully across the floor. Craig has such an entencity when he dances that you belive he is angry when he dances, but he is just so strong and firey The way they and The Troupe moved there feet was so fast at times you could not even see them move. Flamenco dancer Martia Martinez-Rey moves with such grace and beauty that you understand all her movements. She is breathtaking and exciting to watch. The Tappers Benjamin mapp and Baritone Soloist Michael E. Wood really show there versitality in dancing both American and Irish dancing and had the crowd clapping along with the Riverdancers accompining with them. The Singers harmonies and solo passages are echos of the dancing and help bring out the whole show and only add to the enjoyment of the show. The Riverdance Band may only be 5 members but they bring out the music for the scenes and allow the performers to keep their time and the performances moving along. Matt Bashford on Uillean Pipes/Low Whistle/Tin Whistle Plays with such heart that you just go along with the music. Patrick Mangan on Fiddle rivals the greats like Mairead Nesbitt of Celtic Woman in his playing. You truly believe in his playing. Dave McGauran on Saxophone plays with dedication to his art and is a master. He is a total player. Mark Alfred on Drums/Percussion/Bodhran Is totally amazing. He can play them all at once and keeps the music flowing thru the whole show. On the Bodran get the crowd into the show and shows just how the insturment should be played. He also fakes out the crowdwith the drum and even makes them miss a clap by stopping in mid play. Not an easy thing to do. Riverdanceis a tottaly amazing show and if you have the shance definetly dont miss the show. You will be entertained, amazed and tottaly taken back to a time of old America and Ireland when this couintry was being built and the history of how our countries are intertwined. An inspiring and tantalizing show.
