Breandán’s career as a performer with Riverdance began with Eurovision ‘94 and concluded with his leading the company at the Opening Ceremony of the World Special Olympic Games in 2003. As Principal Dancer for 7 years, Breandán performed around the globe and has shared the stage with the principals of the Royal Ballet, Darcey Bussell and Wayne Sleep and has shared headline status with José Carreras.
He has been honoured to perform for royalty and heads of state throughout the world including Presidents McAleese and Robinson of Ireland, Her Majesty The Queen, His Royal Highness Prince Charles, both the Emperor and Crown Prince of Japan, and the late Princess Diana.
Breandán has completed Balor, a 90-minute contemporary Irish dance show to music composed by Joe Csibi. He features regularly as a presenter on Irish television.
Breandan holds an MA in Ethnochoreology from the University of Limerick where he is currently working on a PhD in Arts Practice.
