Rocio Montoya (Flamenco)
Rocio Montoya commenced her training in Spanish Dance at a young age in Granada at the schools of Marichu and Maite Galan, obtaining her formal qualifications as a professional Spanish Dancer at the age of 23. She has been instructed by some great exponents of Spanish Dance including Aida Gomez, Jose Antonio, and Ana Maria Bueno. In 2002 she was invited to continue her studies under Mario Maya at Granada’s Centre for Performing Arts. Further tuition as a Flamenco has come from Alejandro Granados, Eva “La Yerbabuena”, and Carmen Cortes. Rocio’s professional experience includes work with the companies of Mario Maya and Pepa Gamboa. Most recently she has performance in Rafaela Carrasco’s Una mirada del flamenco.
