Dearbhla Lennon

Dearbhla Lennon
Dearbhla Lennon began dancing at the tender age of two under the expert tuition of her mother, Mona Ní Rodaigh. A medallist at regional, national and World Championship level, she also represented Ireland at many International Festivals throughout the world. At age 17, she joined the original cast of Lord of the Dance, where she performed as principal dancer for over five years. Dearbhla graduated with a first class honours degree in Journalism and Media Communications in 2004. She was also awarded "Student of the Year" at Griffith College Dublin. During her time at college, she worked as a fashion model and dancing teacher, having obtained her TCRG exam in 2001. She performed as a dancer in The Abbey Theatre production of The Shaughraun in 2004/2005 and is currently working as a freelance journalist. She is delighted to be touring Asia as a principal dancer with Riverdance. Having never been to this part of the world, Dearbhla is very much looking forward to experiencing the cultures and traditions of the East.
