Mary Sexton - Female Soloist
Mary Sexton has been a performer since the age of seven when she began her studies at the Cork School of Music on piano and flute, and has interrupted her voice scholarship at the School to join the Riverdance Company. Also an accomplished actress, Mary studied dance and drama at the Montfort Stage School, and has taken part in many shows, including Grease, The Wizard of Oz, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat, and Babes in the Wood. Recent principal credits include Anita in West Side Story and Cassie in A Chorus Line. Her career as a classical soprano is developing and she has recently been invited to join the chorus of Cork Opera 2005 and the professional female vocal group Seraphim and was cast as Susannah in a production of The Marriage of Figaro.
Equally at home in the theatre or on the concert stage, Mary looks forward to a long career in the performing arts although as an honours Business Studies graduate, qualified gym instructor and massage therapist, her versatility extends across a wide area of activity.
