At what age did you start Irish Dancing?
8

What did you like most about Irish Dancing?
We got to skip school on St. Patrick´s Day

When and why did you decide you wanted to be in Riverdance?
I found out about an audition at the last minute and thought I might as well do it.

Where did you audition and what was it like?
The Oriental Theatre in Chicago. A girl fell and broke her ankle during the audition. I was sent to wander the streets of Chicago in my heavy shoes to find her Mom. Other than that it went really well.

How did you feel when you heard you had been offered a place in the show?
Delighted but conflicted because I had already started college. If only I had the power to be in two places at once.

Favorite part of the show?
My partner in the Wake, Jenny O´Connell, and I can communicate telepathically.

Best Riverdance moment?
When we played my hometown St. Louis, most of my dancing school came to the same show. They behaved like the audience of Jerry Springer during Trading Taps, it was fun.

Most embarrassing Riverdance moment?
Messing up in Firedance. I was doing a new position and lots of people were watching from side stge in anticipation. I burst into laughter when it happened but I pulled it together in the end.

Do you have any rituals you have to do before going onstage?
No

If you could only take 2 comfort things on tour what would they be?
iPod, computer

What do you do in your free time on tour?
I spend a lot of time on the computer. I am also trying to learn French, it´s going really slowly though. Otherwise I read or draw or explore the city we are playing.

What´s the question you are asked the most when people realize you are a Riverdancer?
How does an American end up Irish Dancing?

Did you know?
London
Dancers in China
