What do you do in your free time on tour?
It depends on where we are! In the likes of Vancouver, BC, I´d sightsee or shop but in some cities I just read a lot.
Do you have any rituals you have to do before going onstage?
I cross myself three times
If you could only take 2 comfort things on tour what would they be?
My new laptop, plus a good book
Most embarrassing Riverdance moment?
There have been several. The worst would have to be the night I joined the tour in Saginaw, Michigan. Everybody was at the theatre when I arrived so I tried to check myself in. The hotel accidently put me in Ryan McCaffrey´s room so he got a real shock to find the new girl asleep in his bed when he got home. Having to drag my luggage back to the lobby while wearing only my pygamas wasn´t too cool either!
Best Riverdance moment?
Walking out for Rivrdance knowing that my father was in the audience. I got such a huge adrenalin rush, I was worried my leotard might have burst open.
Favorite part of the show?
Firedance
How did you feel when you heard you had been offered a place in the show?
I guess I was completely overwhelmed. The excitement didn´t set in until I handed in my resignation at work - a wonderful day indeed!
Where did you audition and what was it like?
I guess I was one of the lucky few who managed to avoid doing an audition!
When and why did you decide you wanted to be in Riverdance?
Ever since I watched the TV coverage of Riverdance at the Eurovision being in Riverdance was as fantasy of mine. It wasn´t until I moved to Dublin though that I decided to send my CV into the Dublin office, there was nothing to lose really.
What did you like most about Irish Dancing?
I loved the competition, especially as there were generally only a few people in it so I was pretty much guaranteed a medal!
At what age did you start Irish Dancing?
I officially began dancing lessons at the age of 5 but remember trying to learn by copying my older sisters well before then.
What´s the question you are asked the most when people realize you are a Riverdancer?
Don´t you have to be Irish to do that?
