When the East met Irish Dancing: Riverdancing on the Great Wall of China

Recent tourists to the Great Wall of China must have been amazed to see a long line of girls and boys dressed in glittering Broadway costumes performing extracts from Riverdance along this ancient wall.

The Liffey Company, led by Joanne Doyle and Conor Hayes, performed under a dazzling blue sky to an appreciative, if perhaps bemused audience!

Conor and Joanne lead the troupe in Riverdance.

Tourists to the wall could see the performance from far and wide - it was hard to miss!
The company were probably wishing they had sunglasses as part of their costumes.
Declan Masterson played a haunting tune on the tin whistle as part of the event.
