Production for this event began almost 10 months prior to the performance, with a vital on-site meeting in the period leading up to the event. The challenge here was to build a full-scale replica of the Riverdance touring show in the vast conference centre. This was a huge and challenging undertaking. Running time was 75 minutes with a cast of 54. The fit-up began a week before the performance. Three teams worked alongside each other - the Disney crew and the local staging company supported the Flying Squad production team. A three-tiered bandstand was constructed and slide images were incorporated using a rear projector. Set pieces were designed and built for this one special performance.
